Baltica School in Leeds

The Baltica Community School of Russian Language & Art is a supplementary education school. It was set up by Slavic and Baltic Community to promote and develop children’s linguistic skills, cultural identity and engagement in positive education and leisure activities. Our aim is to improve their socialisation by connecting children and families with others from similar linguistic and cultural backgrounds. It will contribute to the improvement in behaviour and social skills among the pupils. The learning programmes are flexible and able to respond to the learning needs of every child. Different approaches are applicable for learning stimulation and development of pupil’s confidence and self-appraisal. Our school provide Russian Language classes for children aged 3 – 11 years from Leeds and surrounding areas. Lessons take place during term time every Sunday from 10:15am till 14:15pm. There are 5 lessons a day: Russian Language, Russian Speaking Skills Development, Art, Dancing and Music. The children will learn how to spell, write and speak Russian in a proper way; they will enhance their vocabulary and will learn more new and interesting things about Russian culture and traditions.
